Mommywise Core Values

I do what I do because I'm passionate about helping families feel more rested, and show up in the world, as the parents, spouses and people they really want to be. I believe in fostering partnerships with families, living a purposeful life, and giving back to my community. Towards that end, I live by some personal and professional core values, which are the foundation of my mission and work. I'm inspired by many innovators, business and thought leaders, primarily Steve Jobs, Seth Godin, and Zappos CEO, Tony Hsieh, who truly believes we can have our cake, and eat it too. His book, Delivering Happiness, chronicles the events that led to his phenomenal business success, fundamentally driven by his desire to be happy, have a happy staff, and deliver happiness to his customers. These are my core values:

1. Exceed Expectations

True service, by my definition, means exceeding all expectations; going that extra mile to over-deliver to clients, partners, staff, family and friends.

2. Anticipate Needs

This is an intuitive skill that I've developed as a mom and in my professional life. I'm always one step ahead of your needs, with answers to your questions before you have to ask.

3. Build Lasting Relationships

All relationships shall be nurtured and grown to their full capacity, with clients, staff, partners, advisers, mentors, and friends.

4. Think Outside the Box

The service I provide requires creative-thinking, problem-solving, and creating solutions that work for others (not me). As a mom, I have to think outside the box many times a day, and I apply the same principles to my business.

5. Always Give Back

I am extraordinarily lucky. I've traveled the world, and have seen extreme poverty. I have running water, food, electricity, and simple things like eyes and legs. I believe in giving back and donate a portion of my proceeds to non-profit organizations that support families both here and abroad.

6. Be Passionate & Have Fun!

Most people don't love going to work, but I do! I work flexible hours, enjoy quality time with my family, travel as much as possible, and truly enjoy my work because I'm living a purposeful life, sharing invaluable skills I learned on the job as a new parent, and serving my community by supporting families with the most crucial element of a happy, thriving family: SLEEP!
